On our way back from Oregon we broke down in Arizona but never fear because we were rescued by a wonderful pastor who let us stay in his church while we waited for the mechanics to fix it. God has had a wonderful way of bringing people from all walks of life across my path these past eight months. I've gotten to meet wonderful pastors, families, artists, actors, speakers, and teens that have impacted me despite our brief meetings.
After arriving on campus I promptly rejoined my beloved Creative Team (For those that don't know the Creative Team is a group of select interns that have been chosen to create next year's Acquire the Fire tour). I have to say that the people on Creative Team have become my close brother's and sisters. I love spending my days with them brainstorming, being silly, making deadlines, and impacting the kingdom for God.
Making adult decisions, trusting God, spending time in prayer, and regaining my passion for acting are all things that have been going on. God is good and so is this weather.

ReplyDeleteWait did you come back to Oregon city area after the Eugene thing? I miss seeing ya! Its been a while since I have viewed this blog, but this post,just reflects that you have changed and grown in a significant way since NCCS. Maybe it's because of the second paragraph where You state you've met many people have impacted you over the past eight months. From all sorts of walks of life too, that's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteJust reading through some of your previous posts and recalling previous conversations we've had, it just blows my mind to how many places you have had the privilege to go to. What Canada, New York, Texas, California I believe, where else? Probably a whole lot more Im sure, I am trying to remember off the top of my head, I could probably go through the posts but im tired at the moment, there's my excuse. Been up for a while doing homework, and I just had this epiphany that screamed " hey David, you need to check up on your old friends! (Laine as well.)
So I hope everything is looking up at whatever new place you are currently at (tell me when they send you down to a Colombia one, or perhaps one in Australia or something!) Ha-ha im just kidding. It still blows my mind as to how many places you've been to now.
Let me know when you return, we need to catch up!

David. It's been awhile since I've posted on here, so many more things have happened which is crazy to think about. God has definitely blessed me with all of the places and people I've gotten to visit, He's stretched and grown me and taken me places I never thought I'd go. Haha, yes I've to all those and many more too many to list. Hopefully I'll be able to travel around the world too. ;) We definitely need to catch up though. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go back to OC after Eugene but I'll be back in August. We should have a class get together in August before everyone goes back to college.
